THE ORIGINAL RELOCATION GUIDE — FAYETTEVILLE | FORT BRAGG | SANDHILLS REGION VOLUME 8 — ISSUE 2 64 HEALTH & WELLNESS Just within the city of Fayetteville, North Carolina there are over 800 licensed physicians. Families also enjoy easy access to quality hospitals, clinics and other healthcare providers. There are 19 acute care hos- pitals as well as one hospital totally dedicated to veterans' needs within a 60 mile radius. One of the premier medical systems is FirstHealth. With five hospitals, primary and convenient care clinics, dental centers, home health, hospice & palliative care, health & fitness centers, and a robust philanthropic foundation, FirstHealth never rests on its laurels but continually looks to grow and find even better ways to serve the region. Their efforts have not gone unnoticed. FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital (FHMRH) just earned the 2018 Women's Choice Award for America's Best Bariatrics, America's Best Can- cer Care, America's Best Heart Care, America's Best Obstetrics, America's Best Orthopedics, and America's Best Stroke Center. FHMRH also ranked in the Top 100 in Nation for Medical Excellence in Major Orthope- dic Surgery based on Quan- tros' CareChex ® 2018 Hospital Quality Ratings Analysis. Other honors include being recognized as one of the state's best hos- pitals by U.S. News & World Report. But to FirstHealth it's not all about the accolades and awards. It's about how best to serve the people of the region. For instance, FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital-Hoke Campus was the first hospital in Hoke County. The opening (2013) was a historic event for a county long acknowledged as one of the largest in the state without its own hospital. The hospital is anchored by a 24/7 emergency department. A quarter of the hospital houses an Imaging suite offering in-house services ranging from general X-ray to low-dose CT and nuclear medicine as well as the availability of mobile MRI. Of course, FHMRH-Hoke Campus is just one of many hospitals and service centers throughout the region. There's always a FirstHealth location near you. FirstHealth is committed to offering a level of medical excellence that is recognized among the best.
