Pieces from the Past Antiques and Black Horse Antiques shops are in the historic commercial district along with Hartzog's Gifts and Fine Jewelers. New and used household appliance stores are in the downtown area, and Economy Furniture and Appliances Co. offers great deals on new American-made home furniture and mattresses. Gaffney Premium Outlets includes 75 stores where shoppers can find impressive savings on name brand merchandise. At the many outlet stores participating in the 50 Plus Shopper Perks program, shoppers over age 50 save 10% off their entire purchase every Tuesday. Locally-owned restaurants offer something for every taste. Daddy Joe's Beach House BBQ is included on the official South Carolina BBQ Trail map. Located in the historic commercial district since 1932, Harold's Restaurant is famous for chili burgers as featured on the Food Network's Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. Also downtown, Saki Grill and Sushi Bar offers a full Japanese menu, including Hibachi dishes. Cajun cuisine is served up New Orleans style in one of Gaffney's newest restaurants, The Big Easy. Greek and Italian style dishes are served at Pete's, the House of Pizza and the Aegean Pizza. Bronco Mexican Restaurant is one of the local favorites. Anyone who craves a sweet treat will find their bliss at Sunny's Donuts and Brett's Bakery and Café. Choices in entertainment abound. The Capri on Main is a venue for live music, comic acts, and independent film premiers. Both the Gaffney Little Theater and the Limestone College Theatre Department present several plays throughout the year. Concerts and recitals at Limestone College's Fullerton Auditorium and Limestone Center Theatre are open to the public. The Cherokee County Public Library hosts "Music-Sandwiched-In," a lunch-hour series of live performances by various musical artists. In addition to its permanent collections of artifacts and various traveling exhibits, the Cherokee County History and Arts Museum is a center for seminars, dance parties, card parties, wine-tastings, pottery shows, and annual "Ghost Walks" during which guests are introduced to the gentle spirits of Gaffney past. Each month, the City of Gaffney presents downtown events including Black History celebrations, Irish Fests, concerts, pet parades, and Christmas festivities. The Gaffney Big E entertainment outlet, conveniently located near the Premium Outlets, offers movie theaters, bowling alleys, an arcade, and laser tag.
