Try your hand at a sporting clay course at DeWitt Game Farm with guided hunts, regular events and state tournaments. For a slower pace, get on the Hitchcock Creek Blue Trail in Rockingham. The trail is one of the state's top river trips for wildlife and wildlife-associated activities. Fishing is a favorite pastime at Hinson Lake. Walking trails complete the urban conservation area. To relax after a day outside, sip some wine at Little River Vineyard and Winery where winemaking techniques hail from France, Italy, Argentina, South Africa and Napa Valley. At the Hamlet Historic Depot and Museum visitors can experience the only Victorian Queen Anne Train station in North Carolina.
