For other outdoor activities Heritage Park can't be beat. At the Charter Spectrum Amphitheatre there is fixed seating for 4,000 and an expansive, lawn-seating area for 12,000 more, making it one of the largest outdoor venues in the Upstate. Just a few of the upcoming shows at the Amphitheatre include Brandi Carlile & Old Crow Medicine Show, Chris Stapleton with special guest Aubrie Sellers and Train with Andy Grammer. But Heritage Park is much more than terrific stage shows. It encompasses six baseball/softball fields with batting cages, soft toss tunnels and practice infields. The park hosts on average 20- 30 tournaments each year. Parents with younger children will be happy to find two age- appropriate playground areas. And everyone will enjoy the working replica miniature steam train. Also inquire about the corporate shelter (seating up to 100), Gazebo (seating up to 30) and individual picnic shelters all available for rent. There are also miles of paved trails for walking, running and biking. Simpsonville is a close-knit community you can enjoy to the fullest or within about 3 hours you can be anywhere you want to be – the city (Atlanta, Charlotte), the mountains (Blue Ridge, Great Smokey) or the beach (Charleston, Myrtle Beach)! Simpsonville – perfect small town, perfectly located. []
