Conveniently located in downtown Greenville in the beautiful Park Avenue Historic District, Haynsworth has been educating Greenville's finest young minds for more than nine decades. After high school there are equally as many quality school choices for both newly graduating high school students and adults returning to complete a degree or maybe just complete a long awaited dream. Several four-year colleges are within an easy hour's drive of Greenville includingAnderson University, Furman University (often called the Harvard of the South), Clemson University, North Greenville College, and Bob Jones University. Another four-year school now in its 48th year, is USC Upstate (USCU) with a comprehensive residential campus in Spartanburg and commuting and degree completion operations at the University Center Greenville. The University's primary responsibilities are to offer baccalaureate education to everyone in the Upstate as well as selected master's degrees in response to regional demand. USC Upstate's enrollment is approximately 6,000 students with a student-to-faculty ratio of 18:1. Degree programs include: Bachelor's degree programs in liberal arts, sciences, business administration, nursing and teacher education as well as Master's degree programs in education, nursing and informatics. Also among the excellent four-year choices is Anderson University (AU), a selective, comprehensive university offering bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees on campus and online.
