Nature programs are conducted at the Stevens Nature Center throughout the year with trips to area parks and greenways. Cary is the home of the USA Baseball National Training Complex located at Thomas Brooks Park. The $11 million facility is the host for USA Baseball's Collegiate and Women's National Team. The complex hosts a wide variety of annual selection and training events for USA Baseball, as well as domestic, international baseball games and tournaments. The USA Baseball National Training Complex is a baseball lover's heaven. In addition to more than 90 collegiate games (William Peace University and St. Augustine's University call the NTC home for their spring home games), the complex will once again play host to the National High School Invitational, Division II Challenge, Tobacco Road Marathon, Notre Dame Irish Classic and fall high school showcases as well. Business and economic development is strong in Cary. The city had ground breaking ceremonies for 42 new companies in the past year. La Madeleine opened its first North Carolina location in Cary in 2016. Kellogg's underwent a $19.5 million expansion adding $72,150 to the tax base. Relias Learning announced expansion plans that will include 450 new jobs, $4.5 million in capital investment, and $39 million in annual payroll.
