TerraVITA is fast becoming the "gospel of Southern Cuisine" as told by North Carolina farmers, entrepreneurs and chefs. Hotels are popping up in the Triangle region at an unprecedented pace. Chapel Hill is experiencing a hotel boom with two new hotels, Hyatt Place Chapel Hill and AC Marriott. The four-story, 123-room AC Hotel by Marriott will open in mid-October and will feature a community mural. The hotel bar will be open to the public and feature tapas, light fare and drinks. JB Duke Hotel and Unscripted join three other hotels opened in Durham in the last several years—21-C Museum Hotel, Aloft Downtown and The Durham. Raleigh's downtown district also opened its first new hotel in five years, the 10-story Residence Inn by Marriott Raleigh Downtown. It's "game on" for sports of all levels in the Triangle. College, farm teams and one national team – NHL, might soon be joined by MLS (major league soccer) if Raleigh wins a bid for a new franchise. Currently, NCFC and NC Courage both play at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, but a proposal for a stadium project in downtown Raleigh is on the drawing boards. College football and basketball entertain fans in fall and winter at UNC, NC State University and Duke. Shopping is easy in the Triangle with traditional indoor malls flourishing along with outdoor walkable malls, downtown boutiques and unique family owned retail. The upscale outdoor mall, Streets at Southpoint, was the first mall to come to the Durham area in nearly three decades. Other popular shopping centers in the Triangle area include: Crabtree Valley Mall, Cary Towne Center, Triangle Town Center, Crossroads Plaza and Brier Creek Commons.
